Look Up, Sit Down, Be Still

Comprised of three projects "Look Up, Sit Down, Be Still" intends to create a physical and visual dialog between pedestrians and the cityscape, while simultaneously providing a place for individuals to interact or gain a degree of solitude, as well as direct attention to the ubiquitous, iconic entity within the New York Skyline, the wood water towers. The website will establish a virtual meeting place to exchange ideas and raise awareness about Green Design and Renewable Energy.

Public Furniture Project for New York City

New York City Water Tower Furniture (NYCWTF) is the ecopreneurial endeavor of R. David Gibbs. Originally conceived from the notion of recycling old wood to make furniture. NYCWTF has initiated the process of proposing public furniture for the City of New York Department of Parks and Recreation made out of the wood from deconstructed water towers.
